Episode 153: Disney, Dante, and Dead Space, Damn!

Lots of D's! Since Dak is on official hiatus, we had to fill the void with other things that start with "D." We talk some news in the first half, like Disney Infinity, the next generation of consoles, THQ's bankruptcy, Sony selling their NY HQ, and more. After the break, we cover some games, which includes Far Cry 3, Black Ops II, Capcom and Ninja Theory's new DmC, the Dead Space 3 demo, Borderlands 2 Hammerlock DLC, and others. First podcast of 2013, allons-y!

Episode 150: Giving Thanks (now that Dak is on YouTube)

Seriously, this guy! One day he will be an internet celebrity, mark my words. One could argue it's already a reality. We switch it up a bit on this show, due to lack of news, so we implemented a "pardon the interruption" style approach to our news segment. Let us know how you dig it. We've got a little something for everyone in this show, which is still a three headed hydra with Jack out on hiatus. We cover GTA V, the future of COD/Mass Effect, the Spike VGA's, New Super Mario Bros 2, Paper Mario: Sticker Star, Assassin's Creed III, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, the DmC demo, The Walking Dead, Halo 4, Borderlands 2's "Mr. Torgue" DLC, Call of Duty Black Ops 2, and more!

Episode 149: Chugging Mt. Dew with Master Chief

We apologize for this week's show being a bit tardy, but things have been hectic. Also, sorry about the length as well, but given the nature of the games and our discussions of them, we got a bit chatty to say the least. News topics involve the legacy of Silcon Knights and Eternal Darkness, the bizarre nature of the Wii to Wii U data transfer process, the myriad delays of THQ's current list of AAA games, and it all culminates with an epic battle concerning the possibility of Microsoft potentially enforcing surveillance via its products. After the break, the games discussed include follow up on Assassin's Creed 3 and Assassin's Creed 3 Liberation, and Dak has brief impressions of Borderlands Legends, Okami HD, and the PS All Stars Battle Royale beta. Finally, we talk about as much of Halo 4 as time would allow, but there will be follow up of that to come. We manage to point out what it does well and what it may do to cause concern, all without any major spoilers. Next week we will surely go a bit deeper as everyone has had time to finish the campaign, as well as hitting you with impressions of that other huge FPS this holiday, Call of Duty Black Ops 2. Hope everyone is staying warm and is prepared for that Black Friday craziness!!

Episode 148: It’s better to have 4 boobs

Crazy advertising. That's all I have to offer. On this episode, Kevin moved into a new house! Yay! We were a little hectic with scheduling, so this show is sans Dak, but that will just give him that much more to say next week. The rest of us discuss lots of weird things in our first segment, including more XCOM: Enemy Unknown DLC, Disney buying all thinks Lucas, and GTA V's Spring 2013 launch target. Oh, and PS Vita marketing that involves...boobs? Yeah. In the second half, we've got games! We've got follow up on Medal of Honor: Warfighter and Dishonored, and then a nice chunk of new releases, such as Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Borderlands Legends, Assassin's Creed III, and Assassin's Creed Liberation. Join us why don't you!

Episode 147: Just shake that glass, b****!

How is everyone liking Windows 8? Ha! That's crazy! Yeah, I don't care. On this podcast, we talk a good bit about Windows 8, particularly Smart Glass and how it's a Microsoft/Android thing for now. Basically, it's only available on things that wish they were Apple, until there finally is an iOS app that I will download for free, use once, and then never use again, because I just like to send texts and PLAY GAMES. Speaking of which, this is also a games podcast! We discuss Minecraft overtaking Call of Duty on XBLA, the silly Wii U and the original Wii's upcoming holiday bundles, Borderlands Legends (a game!) on iOS, and more. After the break, we talk about more Borderlands 2 and its DLC, DOOM III BFG, The Walking Dead, Dishonored, and this week's new release, Medal of Honor: Warfighter. Jack and I were not impressed...actually, I hate to spoil it for you, but we totally take a dump on this game here at the end. It's okay, because I have finished the game since we did this episode, and my opinions have not changed, so I don't feel bad! We'll wrap that up next week, and also have lots of Assassin's Creed! Enjoy.

Episode 146: Even MOREderlands and COD FREElite!

Annnnd that quick we're back to a threesome. Jack is out this week (we later found it was for good reason) but myself, Dak, and Kev are here yet again to talk about what we have on our plates. The news is relatively brief, and features discussions of Halo 4 getting leaked and Microsoft issuing perma-bans, Metro: Last Light scrapping multiplayer, COD Elite going free, Criterion potentially making a Road Rash reboot, and more. After the break, we cover familiar territory. Dak and I discuss the one new thing we have this week, which is the most recent Episode (4 for those of you keeping count) of Telltale's The Walking Dead. After that, it's a little bit more of Dishonored, and then a whole LOT of Borderlands 2 and the Captain Scarlett DLC. And that pretty much sums it up! Seriously, we hope you guys like hearing about Borderlands 2, because I'm not sure what it's going to take for us to stop talking about it. Enjoy!

Episode 145: We’re a Foursome Again!

For the first time in over 3 weeks, everyone is present and accounted for on this week's show! We jump right in and catch up with some recent news, including but not limited to David Fincher's relevance towards Halo 4, the PS Vita breaking 1 million units sold in Japan, new upcoming Borderlands 2 DLC, Reggie Fils-Aime's comments on the Wii U's longevity, and more. After the break, we talk more about Borderlands 2 (of course) and that's probably not going to stop, people. Dak and I give our impressions of the Medal of Honor: Warfighter beta, and everyone is smitten with this past week's big release, Arkane Studio's Dishonored. We wrap it up after a few brief impressions from yours truly in relation to 2K's XCOM: Enemy Unknown. Next week, we will most definitely be talking more about the multitude of things coming out in waves, and most definitely the first Borderlands 2 DLC which comes out today as of the time I'm typing this!

Episode 144: Jay Z Will Make You Fold Like a Lawn Chair

Here come the games, folks! It's going to be a busy holiday season, and our thumbs and mouths will be busy from here on out, people. You know, because we'll have lots of games to play and talk about. What did you think I meant? Perv.

Anyways, Jack takes a hiatus due to work, but I am back in the saddle to assess the last week in video games with the usual crew. We talk about YouPorn on Xbox 360, PS Mobile coming to Vita, and the sudden departure of Cliffy B from Epic Games. After the break, our resident sports guru Mr. Dakar offers his praise for 2K's NBA 2K'13 release, and the reception is glowing as usual.  There's even jokes in reference to the game's executive producer, Mr. Shawn Carter himself (Jay Z) which will help explain the title of this sucker. Speaking of "resident," Dak and I debate the controversial release of Capcom's Resident Evil 6. Dak isn't totally down on it, but I tend to refer to it as Resident Evil Sux in comparison. We have an interesting discussion that provides ample support for both sides. Adding to all of this is even more praise for Borderlands 2, and I give some brief impressions of that OTHER loot game, Torchlight II. It's that time, folks...the games are gonna keep coming, so keep listening!

Episode 143: I’m Gonna Post This, But I Didn’t Host This

Yeahhhh so, yours truly had to take a week off from the recording this week, so I really don't know what to tell you. It's a three man show with Dak, Kevin, and Jack, and I'm sure they make fun of me due to my absence. It's okay, because they probably talk about Borderlands 2 at some point in here, I'm guessing, and my current level 35 Siren would wipe the floor with any of them! Other than that, I have no idea. Perhaps there's some Resident Evil 6 demo talk? Tekken Tag Tournament 2? Andddd...Borderlands 2. Yup, I got nothing. I'm listening to this for the first time just as you are, faithful listener. Over 3 years, and this is my 2nd missed podcast. I still think my record is solid! Enjoy...

Episode 141: Uncle Jack Played Games in Texas

Welcome to another edition of "blabbering out of impatience as we wait for Borderlands 2." On this humble episode, we cover the news and argue about it as usual. This involves EA killing off strictly single player games, Steam's controversial $100 fee for its Greenlight service, the new Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes trailer, and free Borderlands with your subscription to Playstation Plus! After the break, Jack runs down all of the upcoming games he got to sample while at the GameStop Expo in Texas, including Assassin's Creed III, Halo 4, Dishonored, Tomb Raider, and more. As far as games that the rest of us played back here in MD, they include Sleeping Dogs, Rock Band Blitz, Madden '13, the Mass Effect 3 Leviathan DLC, and the incredible Episode 3 of Telltale's The Walking Dead. It's a pretty passionate summary from yours truly, and you guys need to play that if you have yet to do so. Next week, we'll be bored one last time before we get some of that Borderlands 2!!!

Episode 140: Steven Tyler Is Where Circus Peanuts Come From

So you guys are in for a treat this week! We barely talk about video games, and as you can see it's a rather short show. But I'm sure you've guessed by the title of the episode that some of our topics of discussion are no less entertaining. Actually, there is some video game stuff in here, to be honest. We did manage to talk about EA suing Zynga, Spec Ops: The Line getting a free co-op mode, Castlevania games getting delayed, and Harmonix hiring a combat designer. After the break, and in between nonsense, we talk about the only new release from the past week, as Dak put some time into New Super Mario Bros 2 for the 3DS. We also follow up our conversations from last week with more chit chat pertaining to Sleeping Dogs, Darksiders II, and oh my God, SongPop. So much Songpop. Yeah, have fun with this one.

Welcome one, welcome all, to the weekly banter of all things crazy and all things gaming! This week, we were a bit overwhelmed by the multitude of Gamescom news, but we managed to pull through regardless. This week's segment involves discussion pertaining to the huge changes coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Day Z coming to consoles, digital Mario costing MORE than retail Mario, and the very promising new project coming out of Capcom, Dontnod's Remember Me. After the break, we finally have games to talk about! The summer lull officially dies with discussions of the Madden NFL '13 demo for console and Vita, the Chaos Mode for MW3, Songpop for Facebook, Dust: An Elysian Tale, Darksiders II, and perhaps the sleeper hit of the year, Sleeping Dogs! Jump in, head first!
